A lack of confidence cost me last week, whilst Sheffield Wednesday twice let leads slip eventually losing 3-2 at home to Bristol C and Derby scuppering my draw bet with a 3-1 home win over Leeds, the biggest disapointment was the Hull bet which after a poor couple of weeks put as a DNB winner rather than taking the 2/1 on them for outright victory which would have seen us make scratch rather than a small loss.
Birmingham v Crystal P: Birmingham find themselves at the wrong end of the table and face a tough test against 2nd placed Palace, Birmingham against 4 rated sides (this doesn't look to be the best call but they will stay 4 rated for the season) have an ok record but should be doing better against the lower ranked sides, they have W2 D1 L1 but have only won once in their last 6 league games against all opponents.
In Birminghams 4 games against 4 rated opposition 2 games have seen under 2.5 goals and 2 over 2.5, only 1 of those 4 games has seen both teams score.
Crystal Palace have so far exceeded all expectations and currently sit 2nd 3 points off top spot, they are unbeaten in 3 and have lost only once in 18 games. Palace have an excellent record against 1 rated sides winning 4 and drawing 1, the drawn game was in their last outing against manager Ian Holloways old club Blackpool, it took a last minute equaliser to earn Blackpool a point.
Of Palaces' 5 games against 1 rated teams 3 have seen over 2.5 goals and 3 have seen both teams score.
Crystal P to win 28/17 Pinnacle
Hull v Huddersfield: Hull have won their last 2 games and have won 3 and drawn 1 versus 3 rated sides, last time out they beat an in form Watford side at Vicarage road and have lost only twice in the last 9, in the 4 games against 3 rated teams 2 have been under 2.5 goals and 2 over with BTTS also being seen twice.
Huddrsfield after an excellent start to the season have faded slightly having not won in 5 games, their record against 2 rated teams is poor having W1 D1 L4, of those 6 games overs and unders have been evenly split as has BTTS.
Hull should be able to keep their good run going.
Hull to win 4/5
Good luck to all this weekend.
